A dynamic project manager with a wealth of experience in a variety of development, implementation, infrastructure rollout and business change projects supported by programme management, business analysis and functional consultancy skills, working on agile, tactical and strategic projects. Combines knowledge of project and programme management methods and technologies, stakeholder management, planning, change management, financial control, process re-engineering and feasibility studies with high levels of business acumen and entrepreneurial flair used in both commercial and public service arenas.  Experienced in full project life-cycle, pre-project preparation and post-project audit and review and equipped with an ability to identify requirements for technical and operational performance improvements, business process redesign and improvement and inspired to manage effective project rollout with strong communication, presentation, mentoring and interpersonal skills.  A highly focused individual, offering significant strategic project management experience and the ability to deliver quality projects on time and to budget.  Keen to pursue a position that will utilise skill set to its full potential and to develop it further.

SOME KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Business Communications Group

  • As Group IT Consultant project managed process improvement and infrastructure rollouts, and managed business restructuring programmes for the 17 companies in the Group and subsidiaries including new financial and accounts systems, web-enablement programmes including structural and business process changes to accommodate new business models, totalling £2m budget. 

  • Managed the design, selection and implementation of a group Internet, Intranet and Extranet strategy, secured Group’s supply chain and provided advanced on-line ordering, with Internet e-commerce front end for 17 companies, dovetailing into back-end systems.  Delivered consistency across the group whilst retaining the branding and unique selling proposition of each company.  Developed “trusted advisor” relationships with key stakeholders in subsidiaries.

  • Managed the development and implementation of a group strategy and model for Customer Information System and Customer Relationship Management solutions for financial institutions served by the Group.  Project managed the implementation an ERP/MIS, warehousing and logistics strategy.  

  • Successfully rescued a major infrastructure project.  Performed due-diligence on takeover of high street bank’s fulfilment operation and project managed the implementation of a complete set of office systems, with only a six-week lead-time.   Replaced office based systems and telephones utilising existing systems to maintain operation until new solution implemented.

Trinity House

  • Project managed the implementation of a new Computerised Maintenance Management System, introduced new processes for engineering planning and operations, procurement, warehousing, remote communications, financial accounting for operations, helicopter operations and general administration in line with Business Process re-engineering programme. Converted Trinity House maintenance operations from time-based to condition-based.

Financial Organisation

  • Selected and managed the delivery of a solution to replace a legacy system while enabling continuity of printing and revenue collection, delivering a parallel operation and overnight switch over.

Credit card production and Personalisation Company

  • Realigned shortfalls in production by managing the implementation of software, hardware and business process changes to maximise production. Improved data capture and data transfer optimising throughput.

Major Construction Group

  • Managed the implementation of new contractor management and document control systems to reduce and manage costs and to make contractors more effective (30,000+ contractors on major projects). Implemented new business processes to support the software system and created a web-based collaboration solution that saved up to £10,000 in printing and postage for each contractor. Rationalised client costs by over £1m on a medium-sized project and facilitated contractor communication.
