SOME KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Business Communications Group

As Group IT
Consultant project managed process improvement and infrastructure rollouts,
and managed business restructuring programmes for the 17 companies in the
Group and subsidiaries including new financial and accounts systems,
web-enablement programmes including structural and business process changes
to accommodate new business models, totalling £2m budget.

Managed the
design, selection and implementation of a group Internet, Intranet and
Extranet strategy, secured Group’s supply chain and provided advanced
on-line ordering, with Internet e-commerce front end for 17 companies,
dovetailing into back-end systems. Delivered consistency across the group
whilst retaining the branding and unique selling proposition of each
company. Developed “trusted advisor” relationships with key stakeholders in
subsidiaries.

Managed the
development and implementation of a group strategy and model for Customer
Information System and Customer Relationship Management solutions for
financial institutions served by the Group. Project managed the
implementation an ERP/MIS, warehousing and logistics strategy.

Successfully rescued a major
infrastructure project. Performed due-diligence on takeover of high street
bank’s fulfilment operation and project managed the implementation of a
complete set of office systems, with only a six-week lead-time. Replaced
office based systems and telephones utilising existing systems to maintain
operation until new solution implemented.
Trinity House

Project managed the
implementation of a new Computerised Maintenance Management System,
introduced new processes for engineering planning and operations,
procurement, warehousing, remote communications, financial accounting for
operations, helicopter operations and general administration in line with
Business Process re-engineering programme. Converted Trinity House
maintenance operations from time-based to condition-based.

Construction Group

Managed the implementation of
new contractor management and document control systems to reduce and manage
costs and to make contractors more effective (30,000+ contractors on major
projects). Implemented new business processes to support the software system
and created a web-based collaboration solution that saved up to £10,000 in
printing and postage for each contractor. Rationalised client costs by over
£1m on a medium-sized project and facilitated contractor communication.
